Okay, Zelos actually laughs at Lloyd's question, though it's more out of amusement than anything. Sure, Zelos' powers as a fire blade are pretty extensive and incredible on their own, but like, really? setting himself ablaze? That's kind of pushing it pretty far--Aegis or not, Zelos isn't entirely sure just what exactly his limits are and he's not about to start testing them now.

"Aha, dunno about setting myself on fire, bud," Zelos says once he's calmed down. What he does know, though, is that his sword is still full of untapped potential he really, really wants to dig further into, so. "But," he adds, "I can control almost any flame I can get close to so long as the ether is undisturbed. Fire manipulation is just temperature manipulation, which is in turn ether particle manipulation, really. And," he reaches forward with a grin, summoning his sword with a flash of brilliant fire, then throws it over his shoulder like it's nothing, flames and all.

He gives Lloyd a wink, waits a couple of seconds. For dramatics' sake, really. "There's always this baby," he finally says. "I can just focus my energy into the fire here instead."
