Kratos stands there silent for a second as he tries to calculate a separate option, but there literally is not another way to carry Zelos that isn't going to get in the way of Kratos' wings. So. So Kratos just picks Zelos up bridal-style and hops into the air to gain height before Zelos can think of just squirming out of this.
